connectors connect but devices appear red
I have a simple setup 1 station with 1 mining ship, solo survival game. My mining ship has 1 Medium Cargo with a connector attached on top of the small door side if that matters. My station has a refinery with a connector atop. When I dock the connectors properly locks (turn green) and from within my ship I see my station's Refinery, Cargo, and Reactor but all have red descriptions. I cannot move any Ore or stone into the refinery or anywhere.

After reading forums posts I checked owner ship was set to Me for all items, (both connectors) even went out to the save game options and reset Ownership, still all stations items are red.

Is it possible that connectors can be placed on the refinery but wont function from them?

Can you get out of your ship and manually access the connector on the refinery? First time i played i was stitched up by random death and had to grind and rebuild stuff that gave the "Access denied" message. I ended up restarting and changing the settings for ownership on re spawn as I could not get it to do it otherwise. You might be lucky if you only have a small setup.

You can't combine small with big access ports. So if you attached a small door (on the cargo container) with the big door on the connector, transferring items won't work. If you connected the small cargo port to one of these small ports on the side of the connector (only with small ships), everything is fine.

PS: The red color only means that these are systems of another ship this has nothing to do with your conveyor/connector system. theres also yellow if you have a third ship attached.
PPS: you can also attach and power connectors without conveyor systems. Then it just shows the ship info (like an normal access panel) and you are able to dock, but you cant move items.

They are supposed to be red in the control panel to help differentiate them from those from the ship you're in. If you connect a bunch of ships this way there will be several different colors. Moving the inventory between them is your problem. Double check everything has power, is turned on, is owned by you, is connected via conveyors as it is likely one of those as that is where most problems are. You're refinery should already be pulling ore if everything is on and connected.

My best guess is that your drills or cargo containers aren't connected to your connector via conveyors.

Thanks, Jacki ..Fixed it when I attached (Ship) conveyor tubes to one of the small outlet doors on the Connector. That was the key. All is transferring

Thanks so much!

Hi, better create your NEW discussion when you find a old one and this one is more than old.

2015 and we are in 2019 = the game is not the same at all!

Also > the community reports you when "Necroing" so it is good thing to create new to avoid reports on you :approve:

Please create a new discussion.
