But there are ways to reduce lagg issues. Im not the best to help you because ive never had this issue.
Altho, lowering your graphics, setting view distance lower, closing background programs (including anti-virus) are the first things you should try.

Low Simulation Speed can be caused by :
1 - Absurdly huge creations close to Physical Shape limit.
2 - Absurdly huge Hydrogen system using a lot of Hydro tanks, O2/H2 Gens and Hydro thrusters.
3 - Mods and/or Scripts.
4 - Extreme Graphic setting with FOV above 70.
The best is to create a copy using the "Save as" (change save name), and load that copy to delete one grid / one Mod at a time to pinpoint the problem.

Share your save so me and/or Veteran players can load to help on finding the cause.
>> How to publish a world save :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Publish" button on the left.
3 - Choose a proper Tag or skip all and click the OK button.
4 - Your world will be uploaded to Steam Workshop.
5 - Share the Workshop item link here.
Not sure i agree with that statement lol
But on the subject of saving performance try stuff like...
Limit the world, no procedural asteroids, and smaller hand placed planets.
Keep your build to a sensible size, if you go big you will have issues even in an empty world.
Use as few Programable blocks as possible, optimise your lighting to use as few lights as possible.
Finding a scale that works well and does not hinder performance much is part of the learning curve with SE :)
-> Hit Shift+F11 one time to see the world stats on screen.

I found the best size doing so, the "Good Perfo" size that is no more than 100 blocks long and no more than 100 000 PCU = That is where I can build playable ships for Solo and MP, but we surely can go above and can have a better Perfo using high end PC.
100 000 PCU is the OK size but I tested 100K PCU Workshop items that were unplayable because using Mods and Scripts.
Best advice = Always keep an eye on the SimSpeed and adding/testing One Mod at a time will help a lot at finding low Sim problem.
Edit
Not all Mods/Scripts will lower the SimSpeed so the testing one at a time is a Must.
