Ok, I did not place them correctly - fair enough. But then how is it correctly? Now they're in different position, but the edge is now too steep for wheels. Look:

Thank you for willingnes to help me :)
Yes :) Learning the game is mostly about learning the weird and arcane way important parts of the game, like the user interface (which was clearly created by one of Satan's less able minions) work... for some values of 'work' :D Namaste, and good luck.

But I bet it's the matter of getting used to it.
@carl.wear oh, this is a great idea. I must try it. BTW - nice colors of the base :)
Lights and even colours can be good to indicate pathways or directions to drive / guide vehicles to connectors.
If you keep loosing your base at night, lights can help. On a tower, like a wind turbine, use a 'interior wall' block painted yellow and small red lights in the centre. The red light reflects off the yellow and with the curve of the block you can see it a mile off.

Below is the light on the right from 500 m away, its the red bit in the centre.

It'll make a smooth slope
-> May have to hit the "B" key first, must use the free mode.

No need to power that ramp because the trash removal does not delete unpowered station block placed into the soil.
I even publshed a Jump ramp that I use to test my cars on jump to find the no damage value on wheel Strength.

Ship back ramp works fine using only one Hinge placed in center aligned with center of mass of the ship

= Hinge is a good Engineer solution.
I basically build a parking pad, if needed, and then build adjustable pistons with connectors, then simply line up the piston connector with the rover connector and finalize that with either a button or sensor for extending and retracting the piston. I prefer using a sensor and having designated parking spots for my various rovers and trucks.
I back them into their designated parking spot, the sensor triggers the piston to lower and then I can lock my connector on to recharge, unload or whatever.
I love automation...
So why doesn't trash removal, remove them for being a unpowered set of blocks?
It's my testing results with Trash Removal on default settings.

Not sure on the exact reason but I can tell, by experience, that would be very bad for premade scenarios where the author add grids like small unpowered platform/floor, cave pillars or else, etch ...

That would delete the cool unpowered Deco placed into the soil, like this for example :

Would give problems to players wanting to play with Trash Removal on default.
