Rockets Explode Inside Launcher if Fired while Turning
As title states.

When your ship is in motion .. (mine was going max speed) and you are turning then missiles detonate inside launcher and damage your ship.

I have moved the launchers forward thinking the missiles were somehow hitting the wings they were mounted on. That didn't clear the issue.

I then tested going in a straight line (various speed) and rockets fired without issue.
I then turned slightly and fired .... I was ejected from my exploding ship.

Possible Solution - Rockets get a .5 sec delay until arming so they can clear the ship.

Known issue.

yea, as posted, known issue, easy to fix just inconventient for your build and then safety of your launchers, you'll have to build them in so that the launching side of your launch is NOT in a tube if you understand, make sure there's nothing "surrounding" the exit side of the missile launcher, as you understood correctly, the missiles are not fired with the right math yet, wich means if your ship goes fast enough and turns, the blocks surrounding the exit ofthe launcher will impact. if you make sure nothing is there it will work fine but i admit it's something annoying;
As has been said many times before, i'm not a realy physics student, but i think if X= speed of ship and Y = speed of missiles launch, when moving the launch speed of the missiles would need to be X+Y? Making it impossible to ever hit yourself or catch up to a fired rocket?
I could be wrong i'm basing this mainly on a Futurama episode. Made sence a the time tho :)

The Futurama Reference is technically correct, the BEST kind of correct. A possible solution would be a reference to The Hunt For Red October, with a delayed arm the missile can clear the ship.

Yes it should be very hard to hit yourself with your own missile.
The missile you are shooting is already traveling @ the speed of the ship you are launching it from.
If your ship has more acceleration then the missile then it would be possible to run into it and blow your self up.

Also if you spin while firing it's possible that the missile is exploding either in the launch tube or hitting part of your ship right after it is launched.

ah exactly, that would work perfectly to, but it would be a work around i gues, correct math is better =D poor computers...the endless things we make them calculate.

oh and also thruster damage does this in the game! if you have thruster damage one, you need to make sure a launched missiles never comes close to a thruster damage field. i've had this problem ALLOT when placing missile launches + thrusters to go backwards

Although moving the rockets forward and having no barriers surround them seems to allow for a little more turning, ultimately if you are turning at all, even if you are turning in away from all the rockets you fired, you can still very easily explode. I just did many tests to see some of the limits of this, and though my design looks really cool, it may not be the most practical for use with rockets, although I'm hoping a future update fixes every design as far as rockets go.

Why doesn’t someone mod a patch for this? I have the same issue it sound like a simple fix.

You shouldn't fire missiles whilst turning full stop, the missiles in SE travel in straight lines so when firing a missile so should you be.
The missile launcher is not like an uzi submachine gun that you can spray around, you need a nice steady aim and speed.
