Were all the beacons set to 0 with the new update? (the radius set to 0)

Beacons now have a maximum range of 10 km.

They only extend to 10k km now, I believe.
Try finding a general direction and going in it.
Or die and respawn there.

If you have a ship you could Ctrl + X it, and then set a boundary for your world in advanced options. You'll die and respawn near your asteroids and you can just paste the ship back into the game.

copy paste doesnt work cause its a dedicated server the problem just is that we cant find my ship

use a other skybox or what it's called for it make easy to finding it but willl just fly around and you will finde it

Just fly in a random direction 'til you find it..? Assuming this is single-player and you can just reload, if you don't find it in a reasonable time.

If you don't know where it is then you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Finding an object in an infinitely large box is a grain of sand in blizzard conditions. Since it's a dedicated server you can't use SEToolbox to move it around, and unless you close to within 10 km it'll never show.

Depending on how large it is and what you painted it you might have luck travelling in your last direction, but I'm afraid that otherwise it's a goner.

So....any news on if we'll get a respectable beacon limit reinstated? Something like a Mm at least, to revive the xyz coord system would be nice. All these 'work arounds' seem to just be ignoring the basic issue of why the beacons were limited to 10km in the first place. To clean up the hud? I'd rather see a beacon listening distance/types allowed on hud in basic options if that's the case...cause right now without them it's just for the people who love to do everything manual with the chances of getting lost all the time or otherwise stumbling upon enemies when you'd rather be getting to base. Might be fun for some, the opposite I'd imagine for most. It's kind of essential for efficient troll avoidance/base hiding and the mining trips that ensue. If you're 100km from center and you're off by a few degrees it's easy to get lost if you're not busy calculating the distance from the time spent at a particular speed etc...
and as for anyone who suggests making multiple beacons spaced 10km apart...well, that entirely defeats the purpose of hiding the base since you're just making a trail for people to follow, not to mention the tedium of building solar stations for each one when you could be doing other things.
