Less building problems when we find the Prototech assembler made to do Prototech components only.
You could also use a hacking computer mod (I use one in my live stream playthrough). Just be aware that it may not get everything - I usually still have a few blocks left that I have to hack the old-fashioned way.
Oh, and to add to what Dan2D3D said above, when you get the prototech assembler, you'll notice that you need prototech scrap to make the various components, which can't be crafted. Only way I've found to get it is from grinding down prototech blocks.
