Now that the official forum is gone...
Where would one go to now to see the change logs?

..not that Keen was ever real keen on updating these...

Guys! The Steam forum and Support Portal website are now the best places, because the old website was not used anymore and why the Devs have closed it = nobody there.

More info for you all :

Keen Software House ~ Forum Closure

Forum activity has largely moved to other platforms like Discord and the Steam forums. With the bulk of our community traffic on these other platforms it simply no longer makes sense to maintain these forums.

As our way of ensuring the wealth of knowledge contained here is not lost, we will preserve the forum as a read-only archive.

We will continue to provide patch notes in a new location. Updates and announcements about our new patch note location will be provided. For the time being you can still find all of the most recent patch notes on our Forum.

Please see our forum post to see the full announcement:
https://forums.keenswh.com/threads/keen-software-house-forum-closure.7404285/

Edit

I know there was nobody on the old website because I am the moderator over there and I can tell that website was almost dead because nobody there.

Might be worth re-phrasing that slightly Dan. For anyone who just sees your post & doesn't bother reading the whole announcement in the link, it could be quite easy to misinterpret your statement as meaning that the support portal is also closed, which of course it isn't.

Really sorry to be "that guy" who nitpicks about grammar but your post did make me think for a second that they'd closed the support portal as well. I had to go check.

To clarify for everyone else;
The support portal remains open.
Only the old website and the forum were closed.

@cptsavarus

It's ok to correct me cause English is not my first, thanks for telling and I will edit.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The steam forum never was a good place to get in touch with Keen... Besides of you , Dan, noone else could be bothered to get in touch with us here. And even in the Support Portal, you barely get any reactions from any devs...
But I'm around long enough to know that this is completely normal for KSH, so everything is as usual ;)

You look like a Guy in love with Keen Team but does not use the avaible ways to contact them and there are a lot of ways to chat with them!

I see the Xbox participant on Discord chatting with the Devs and not just for Xbox participant but also helping Modders in the modding channels, etch... you can chat with them if you are in!

I am participating in the making of SE, joined the public test(s), their Discord and they even contact me directly when they want more info on a bug I have reported on the Portal.

I will add :

the best is to become one of community testers, be in the CTG = there you will have a direct link to their house/home and be able to chat with them every days.

Just contact the community manager if you want to become a community tester :selike:

(joining their Discord and participating will help to be in the CTG)

The edit is much clearer! Nice one!
I've never had any problem understanding your English. You've always made fine sense. Just I could see that one possibly causing a bit of a stir!

I agree with your other points but have to say I've had totally the opposite experience with Keens support.
Every time I've contacted them (either through the portal or direct by email) they've come back to me pretty much straight away; and in most cases with a resolution that I can be content, if not happy with.
I can't say I've ever had a standard-format response from them about anything - they've always managed to respond directly to my words.
Their responses haven't always necessarily been as engaging as I might've hoped for but then with the amount of tickets they have to wade through, it's hardly surprising that they wouldn't take each and every one of them on-board as a personal crusade.

Even before the portal existed & our best point of contact was the bug reports section on here, I had a huge amount of success getting my bugs acknowledged & fixed quickly, even though quite often the bugs I'd find were obscure technical things and I was the only one to identify or report them.
When updates were every thursday, I'd often report something over the weekend and most times it'd be fixed by the next update.

Not being a blind fanboy here - I've just always had a really positive experience with the SE team.

I wouldn't say that I'm in love with the Keen Team, but i also don't hate them for some weired reasons like a lot of the customers nowadays.
But i still stand by what i said about the communication between Keen and us.
I made 6 Tickets on the Support Portal and got only one response from the Team wich was a quick standard copy paste answer that didn't even adress my issue.

And while i understand that they cannot write an extensive answer to each and every ticket, some may understand that reporting issues while getting no response isn't very encouraging on the long run.

Yup, no KSH forum. Aye, 't'is a sad day.

A fair comment if that's your experience.
I wasn't trying to invalidate your viewpoint at all, only offering a contrasting one.
If I'd had the same experience as you then no doubt I'd feel the same.

For sure, I've probably had more joy with support than most. Particularly here on the bug report sub before it was locked.
Got a feeling some of the programmers were monitoring that sub personally & acting autonomously on the reports there - at least for a time.
These days it seems like there's more administrative oversight between us and the programmers.

If there was some secret to getting heard though, you can be certain I'd share it.

That only tells me > What love can do!

= some got sad to lose the old forum where they were there every days chatting and helping the community and I understand you tho it does not bother me at all, I mean they can close it cause no one go there now!
