game crash while joining servers

i have reinstalled every thing and verifyed game files and still crashes while in loading screen. im not sure what is causing it i have updated drivers and mods that im using reinstalled the game twice still the same result crashes to windows its like pressing alt+f4 the game closes with out any crash report or warnings any one else had this problem?

Did you delete the settings file %appdata%\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.cfg - if it has been many months since you last played it could contain obsolete data which could cause the crash.

I also have this problem I can not even look for a server and my game freezes the only way I have found to do server play is by joining a server from my steam friends list other then that it freezes as soon as I hit join

My game just crashes sometimes when I try to join a server, but that is most likely because my laptop is not built for a hefty game like SE (has an i3 core) and the graphics card is overwhelmed

There's a lack of servers which are configured to be more potato-friendly, unfortunately. You can look for some things on the server settings visible in-game but it's not easy.

Hi, it may be this,

-> Some members were not able to join MP worlds and here is what they did to fix :

1 - The problem was caused by router MTU being set to 1400 to my ISP gateway. Changing the MTU to 1500 fixed the problem.
MTU = Maximum Transmission Unit

2 - Turn off ASUS' ROG GameFirst, that app got reported preventing members to play MP.

3 - Also one member was stuck in space and could not see the respawn screen, he switched to Wifi to fix.
(switch to direct wire connected to home router if you already use Wifi)

Has anyone figured a fix for this yet? all the ones I have seen have done nothing. I can sometimes join my server but it will usually crash just after the welcome screen. Others can join it just fine and I can join it fine from my otrher account on the same PC (So I know its not the PC). I have tried with mods, no mods, deleting shaders and config files, reinstalling, verifying. Its a problem with a specific account when joining online servers.

Hi, I got strange bugs when running the SE Dedic and the game in the same PC and no bugs when using my second PC to run the Dedic.

Both in same PC = not recommended.

I recommend to join the SE community on Keen DIscord to have access to the "help-for-community-servers-se" channel where experienced server admins are helping every days.

Once on the Keen Discord -> Go to the Role selection channel to choose PC role to unlock the proper community -> go to the "help-for-community-servers-se" channel to post your question.
