Why is it so hard to play SE?
I had this game for years now and still havent played ONCE without wanting to punch someone in a face after 30 min.

1. I tried building a mining spaceship - Hit invisible asteroid walls, resources conveyors constantly malfunction, rotors and pistons started shaking and everything esxploded.

2. Tried to build a car - every wheel spins on surface like its on ice, if u increase friction car flips over on turns, when u drive entire thing is shaking like insane (even with dumping 100% and suspension locked), u constantly hiting something invisible, and by trying to ajust your suspension eventually it leads to car jumping in to orbit for no reason.

3. Tried to build a house - lights dont work, no of interior items, masive space consumption just to put lightswitch, oversized blocks leaves no room for creativity, imposible to align house to planet gravity even with "B" house stands in weird angle.

U waste masive amounts of time trying to build something in way overcomplicated and time consuming menus and eventually u are ALWAYS hit by some bug that f**** ups your entire build.
Basicly all u can do in this game that actually works is a block with a truster. I cant even stack 3 rotors together without shaking/exploding. How do people build robots walkers i see on youtube? WHAT AM I MISSING? i really want this game to work.

You have to work at it. Rotors and pistons exploding just comes with the experience for now. They should get fixed one day but haven't for a long while. If you can't overlook the problems for the experience then come back closer to release.

any idea when its gona hapend ? the release thing ?

nope

what Defektiv said this game is still in development which means there are going to be times in which it may be imposible to play at all because of a lot of problems like: video card drivers not being included in the new patch or a other time when they make a mistake with the thrusters and have them wreck a ship simply because the damage physics in place were wrongly done.

botom line is there will always be a bug or glich with in-development games

Because this game goes overboard with realistic phyiscs in a lot of places where a reasonably working aproximation would be better.

really? i havent played for a while but i feel it lacks quite a bit in some areas. more "Realistic" means a better "Simulation". but lets be honest... they threw alot of things out the window, especially a tonne of "Realism".

Btw OP, i will say this, this game is probably in its worst state for a long time. hopefully it will get better soon.... ish.... :P

No clear plan of attack so no clear engine

Here's a suggestion: change your saved game to "creative" and test your build there without having the hassle to rebuild stuff from scratch; when your design is working sufficiently, change the game back to survival and voila, you got your vehicle.
My guess- you suck. Maybe get better?

I'm having trouble too. I started the Mars "Easy" in creative mode and kept getting blown up by pirates before I even knew what was happening. Restarted like five times. Finally got rid of them by the simple expedient of crashing a ship into their base. Easy? Ha!

Now I'm stuck trying to build the ships from the holographic projector. it's *insanely* difficult. I can't see what's going on, because of the projection - if I miss one tiny block somewhere in the center, nothing works. I finally managed to complete the "scuttler", but it doesn't work. It looks like the battery is fully charged - but it has no power. I was *so* careful to make sure every block was there - but I can't get it to run. As soon as I disconnect it from the projector - it stops working. It only runs while *connected* to the projector. What am I missing?

Blueprints are hard. try to make it to only show "buildable blocks" it makes it all easer because then you will only see those blocks you are able to build and not the whole projection at once
