That said, Space Engineers is a Sandbox game where we can do all we want, we have different premade worlds and premade scenarios we can change the world settings to our liking before playing in, also can set Solo Offline or Friends mode and/or Public mode.
+ More than a lot can be done and I can tell you must like to create to become a good Space Engineer.
I'll qualify that - it's better co-op on a server, even 2 player co-op with just a shared client based world is frustratingly buggy most of the time, a dedicated server is the only sane way with more than 2 if you can afford it in terms of rental or a spare machine, or find one with spare user slots that suits your style and is well maintained. Also remember to either set it to a steam group or with a password for access to reduce the chance of random unknown players joining and potentially ruining your day.
Not sure why you can't because I can set the Learning to survive scenario on Friends mode :

+
Keep in mind it's not a Tutorial but a scenario showing a bit of what can be done with a "Mission" at the end that will give you the Veteran Suit as reward if you succeed.
-> The Video Tutorials are in-game F1
Maybe because I have Experimental enabled ?
I always enable Experimental mode from game options especially to unlock the world setting named "Block limit" because I play alone and want to be able to build on all planets, moons and space without Block limit.
I just double checked to be sure and we can setup on friends mode once Learning to survive scenario is loaded and saved in our Load game menu.
It's not working on creating new :

We must load + save + exit :
1 - Load the sceanrio.
2 - Save and exit to main menu.
3 - Click Load game button.
4 - Open the folder having the Learning to survive save.
5 - Select that save and click the edit settings button on the left.
6 - Set on freinds mode and click OK to apply.

All good setup for 4 players, hit F3 in-game to confirm it's a MP world :

Make sure your friends are in your Faction, create one if needed, and they should all have the Steam achievements and the Veteran suit as reward if one player completes all objectives and the 2 last missions.
