-> Best to Build from station rotor
You can position the rotor on station ceiling, or on a wall, or floor :

We build from station rotor in survival for those reason, too :
1 - So it can recharge its Batteries during the construction.
2 - To avoid getting deleted by the "Trash removal" that deletes unpowered grids when the character moves away.
3 - To be sure the game will set it as a Ship and not get locked as Station.
(for large block ships)
-> We can remove the large block rotor head and replace for small block rotor head from the rotor in control panel.
Advanced setup example :
Small welder ship connected to station moving arm

Projector placed on piston so you can move up to have the needed space to build the wheels.
+
The green block makes the connection between the projector and the projection that we must grind/remove to disconnect once the Rover is complete :

EDIT
Surely better to have the piston on station ceiling for Rover.
2 - Grind the large block rotor head so to remove it from the rotor base.
3 - Go to station terminal and click the "Control panel" Tab.
4 - Select the rotor and click the "Add small rotor head" button.

Now you have small block on large and will be able to add the small block Projector on the small block rotor head :

The BP Projection must touch the projector to start building.
Not the same when we want to build the Blueprint if a station.
1 - Place the large block Projector on a few blocks placed onto the soil, load the Bp and positon the projection where you want to :

2 - Connect the Projector grid to the projection :
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3052381278
3 - You are now able to start building the projection :

You may start building from a small block landing gear that you paste a bit above the station floor to let it fall on the floor and auto-lock :

Also OK to use the setup in the premade world named "Lone survivor" so an upside down large block landing gear where you paste a armor block a bit above it so it can fall on it and auto-lock :

Have fun, Engineer!
A small grid projector and a large grid projector.
As both names imply, the small grid projector can only project small grids and the large grid projector can only project large grids.
If you have a grid blueprint that includes both small and large grid blocks, this is called a 'multi-grid'.
The only way to project that kind of grid is with the use of a modded projector called a 'multi-grid projector'.
This mod can only be obtained with Plugin Loader, which can be found here:
