Where is the gold ?!
i've been searching for gold more than 40-50 hours. I've gone to the moon, searched on astroids and even on earth. Is there any place that has more chance to spawn than usual? or any tip for finding it?

Unfortunately, you've got to fly at least 20 km from moons to find asteroids. Ore on the moon is fairly easy to spot because the yellow-gold discolorations on the surface are visible (try visibly finding the darkened ore patches on the Alien planet!). Although the distance is farther to find ore deposits on asteroids rather than the Moon, as others have said the deposits are "pure" and not filled with impurities, so it can be very worthwhile.

Consider a range-extending ore detector mod to extend your sensing capability.

It should actually be quite common... Can spawn on all bodies: planets, moons, asteroids.

However, do note that gold is set to spawn *deeper*. On planets it's usually like 80 meters below ground. This means that a small ship ore detector usually won't see it unless you are practically scraping the ground above it and get lucky...

Switch to using a large grid ore detector. That has a range of 150 m and should spot it nicely.

If your starting in space, I've found checking the asteroids away from planets to have better chances of having those rare earths elements.

Or just keep searching asteroids until you find it. Terrestrial precious metals are "dirty", while asteroid ores are always pure.

im on the moon right now. Is this enough for gold astroids?

This. Especially the later two paragraphs when you are on the surface of the moon. Albeit, if you are getting it from a moon or planet, expect lots of stone byproduct.

Thanks for the tips, i'll keep looking for it.

Think that many ore deposits are in the same location in most loads. These are about 100m+ underground however so might require a large grid ore detector to find.

Try this one if you can, just copy to your clip board and paste it in game

If you're searching on planetoids/moons, ore deposits are almost always mixed - usually by category (Co/Ni/Mg, Ni/Fe, Ag/Au, Ag/Pt, etc) - so chances are, if you've found Silver, there's probably Gold buried either deeper than or near a different edge of the same patch. Asteroids can be slightly different, depending on the size of individual asteroid/cluster - larger asteroids/clusters tend to be mixed, where smaller ones usually aren't. If I'm in space, and still looking for specific ores, I will build a large grid spaceship with literally only controls, thrusters, a connector, battery, and an ore detector - since Large grid ore detectors have a 150m range, as opposed to a small grid/handheld detector with only 50m range - and fly that around either unexplored asteroids, or asteroids that I've found other similar class Precious/Functional ores.

I havent any issue with gold. Ice lakes or snow biomes (yellow spots) is a almost guaranteed if your on earthlike.

I believe you've grouped them incorrectly.

Generally, planetary and moon ore clusters are iron/nickel/cobalt, magnesium/nickel/silicon, and silver/gold. The silver/gold clusters are usually 50-70 meters deep, so small grid ore detectors have a hard time sensing those ores. That said, however, a good clue is flying over a visible ore formation and seeing no ore designation on your HUD; dig down and you'll probably find silver and/or gold.

Just did a test which is where I found those GPS to and gold, silver and plat were about 150m+ down in most cases. So as the stiff upper Spiff said, find those marking and pan for gold.

i think coordinats are not same because i went there too and saw no marks on the surface

Yeah there is no markings where I am for the test, do you have your drill or an ore detector? Because everything is about 118m plus down.

the easiest way to find gold is to just go creative mode and spawn it in.
