a new training video - Server PCU Trading -

hey guys, lots of new people are joining the server each day, and they question about how to Trade/Get More PCU.... its getting very excessive teaching people how to trade PCU and a lot of people still think you can get banned for it.

Hi, better join a server that have more PCU, well depends on what you like in MP, I prefer to go Premade PVP worlds ready for battle or race track scenarios, tho some prefer to go MP just to build till the server can't support more grids in = that I don't like cause I can do Solo.

I recommend to have a look at the community servers shared in the "server-ads" on Keen Discord cause the Official ones are very limited.

hey Dan, im not questioning how to do it. im asking if a tutorial video could be made. similar to how Keen created tutorial videos for other things. that way when people ask how to trade pcu i can say "watch the tutorial" because i haven't even been able to find a Youtube video on it....

I gotcha tho I still prefer to play without PCU problems, well I will use to be fair in PVP battles where we don't need to trade PCU.

I never used but I know that can be done from F3 in-game.

ya, thats exactly what im talking about. the F3 trade fuction to trade PCU. you hope over to one Keen server trade your pcu with someone there. they then hop over to your home server and trade you their pcu.

and the Reason being - in the Keen official servers you only get 10k PCU but can trade other players in other servers to get more PCU. was a true game changer, and kept me on playing the servers when i learned about it.

I thought it was for Faction members that wanted to use all their PCU on one ship or station, I mean some member may have a few PCU left after completing their creations and can give those PCU to one of the Faction members to complete the Faction station for example.

nope. you can hop into another server, one that you'll never play in. trade your PCU to someone there. they can then follow too your server, which is one they will never play in, and they give you their 9,999 PCU..... there is rumor to not give all 10k pcu or else the game resets your pcu. i have not tested that.

I think thats the point, people want to play vanilla and have a decent amount of PCU on an official server, cause 10K is enough to stand on, but not really feel comfortable building warships. Yes you can join a faction and each use your 10K PCU to specialize so that one person holds the base, and others hold the mining ship/utility ships, leaving a bulk of players able to build 10K warships.. The problem is usually once you get established most of you faction quit playing or are never on and lock their ships cause they might get wrecked(and usually do get wrecked) so if your the one holding the base and you log in alone, your just standing there, looking pretty. cant dont much else. If your not the one with the base, chances are the base will despawn cause the guy who did hold it got bored standing around and stopped logging on. And then of course there are the thieves...

All in all its better to do everything your self, or at least have enough PCU, like 30K or so to maintain the base and utility ships on your own. But what happens is these players continue to use 100K of PCU cause why not.

Honestly if PCU was 30K, Id say they should disable pcu trading. 30K is plenty for 1 person to build a decent warship, base, or a smaller version of everything.

this seems like a huge flaw and something that should be priority for a fix..
your PCU should be part of your character via the blocks it owns.. not tradeable.

I agree, strongly; being able to transfer PCU from one account to another offsets the balance of the game, presents new exploits, and presents new opportunities for scandal as far as I can see.

Needs to be fixed.
For a even chance on Keen servers EVERYONE needs to get and keep the same PCU limit!


Otherwise the game becomes who can get the most people to give their PCU to them is the winner and servers start to chug like crazy.
