Keep in mind Xbox and playstation have memory limited so they can play with no more than 3 different planets in the world, so the SE Dedic must be set on compatibility mode for crossplay.
Here is the Official Guide for the Dedic :

But thanks for answer directly, your game is amazing, congratulations for that project, i knew the game years ago and forgot it on my whislist .
Thank you again and Happy New Year to you and your family.

Note
You surely don't know me so I must specify :
-> I am not a SE Dev but forum Moderator community helper/game tester and I help the SE community since 2013 because it's my Favorite Sandbox game on Steam.
-> I collect the most talked about every months to send to the SE team and they gave me the [Dev] Tag so I can be admin of the Workshop to help more.
I collect the most talked about every months to report to them so my Favorite Sandbox game can become better.
Keep in mind the following :
Auto-Respawn ON = We respawn automatically at the closest Medic Room or Survival Kit when the character is killed.
Auto-Respawn OFF = We can use Medic Rooms or Survival Kits as "teleport" system.
We can take control of where we want to spawn, a good trick to build the Respawn station at a easy Biome first and avoid lightning problems on start.
-> Hit F5 while in the First respawn ship to respawn at another area.
+
- If that F5 trick is not working, happens when playing with "Auto-respawn" enabled and/or "Auto-save" enabled :
1 - Turn OFF the Survival Kit on the Drop Pod (so you will not auto respawn there).
2 - Hit the backspace key to "kill" your character and open the Respawn screen.
3 - Select the same Drop Pod to land at another area.
4 - Redo the above till you land at a Easy Biome or Rich ore spot of the game.
But one thing, for me respawn at my friends spot he needs to change the option share with all too uh ?
That option is available in the 'advanced world settings' of a local game as 'autorespawn' but it is forced on the server side and annoyingly is not an option you can see or select for when looking at servers, it can only be identified on the client by requesting respawn or invoking player death. It is or was revealed in a detailed steam query response, as it was one of the things shown by my web based server detail report script that still needs updating ;_;
On a public server it's better to be safe and one of you create a faction which the other then joins, and set medbay to share with faction, because if its open to all there is the chance of forgetting to reset it and then have strangers spawning there.
Sharing your Survival Kit will add it into the Respawn screen, this way your friend will see it and be able to respawn exactly where your are.
OR
Create your Faction first and set the Survival Kit on "Share with Faction", this way only the Faction members will see your Survival Kit in the Respawn screen.
=
Your friend will have to join your Faction first, turn OFF his Survival Kit block and kill his character (backspace key) to return to the Respawn screen and see your shared Survival Kit.
You may use it, the host is saved at the easiest Biome of the Earth Planet where all ores can be found close to each other and ore detector block is not needed :

EDIT
You will have to set it on "Friends mode" to play MP.
The stock default planet lander pod has a 'timer block' included in it's build. That can be configured to switch on the survival kit after a delay, so that it becomes available for use again providing the battery still has charge and the pod has not been auto-deleted by the server because its owner was no longer connected to the server.
You're forgetting the topic here, Dan, he is limited to playing on a multiplayer server because his friend is on a game console version, and he has a PC :)
@Savage, just use my Workshop world to see my Favorite world settings.
On public server = Only the admin can change the world advanced settings.
EDIT
Conclusion = Share your Survival Kit
