Can only lock onto my own stuff, but not on enemies
Bug randomly started happening, any world, no mods, multiple devices, worked fine 2 hours ago.
The circle no longer appears for enemy stuff. The same stuff on the same maps with the same vehicles using the same settings with the same antennas and everything is the same.

Hi, I can go try on my side, just tell me if the Steps I will do will be OK :

1 - Load a Vanilla Star System world in creative mode.

2 - Paste in a SPRT ship.

3 - Try to lock on using one of my ship.

-> What do you mean about "circle no longer appears" ?

Is that a Safe Zone protecting Trade stations ?

The targeting circle no longer appears over lockable grids as soon as they are from an enemy faction. Right clicking just makes a click sound, nothing more.

I have already tried new worlds on my rigs. It started working again once and then just stopped again. I can not reliably recreate this.

I can lock on to neutrals and my own grids just fine, since I can also see the cricle around those grids.

And no, the enemy grid is not within a safe zone.

Im getting really tired with things constantly stopping to work for no reason at all and then they start working again after some hours or days or MULTIPLE restarts of the client (cough cough air tightness bug).

And yea, I have posted about this on their forum, alongside the report that this game bloats VRAM with no end on some rigs. Both got closed with no reason.

Ok, so I now know exactly what you mean and will be able to do some testing.

Whhoops. Sorry for the confusion xD

Btw I also tried to lock on to enemy ships in all kinds of grids. Static grids with fixed weapons, turrets, custom turrets, small and large ships with the same kind of weapons.
Its very unreliable and doesnt work most of the time since today.

I remember having to hit a key or mouse to change target and hold mouse button to lock the Target but I will do more testing and see if I can reproduce that problem.

It gives white circle on grids set to "Nobody", red circle on enemy grids, and green circle on my own grids :

Yea, thats how it should look.
Im starting to think that the targeting system does not like my monitors aspect ratio, since it works fine on my secondary display.

Very interesting, but thanks for confirming how it should be.

I play on Default Medium Graphic settings 70 FOV and one Monitor 1680 X 1050 60Hz
