Error while loading world
Hey guys. Today i was playing a bit. i had to go do something, and went to the main menu of the game. Then we had a blackout. When i launched the game again, i could not find any of my saved games, and when i wanted to start a new game, i got an error message, that the world could not load.

i searched all over the internet, and tried verifying the game files, reinstalling, deleting the .cfg file, deleting the content of the cache folder. i have no idea what to do next. Can somebody help? Thank you!

Hi, in your log I see :

1 - Exception occured: System.InvalidOperationException: Steamworks is not initialized.

2 - Loading session: D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\CustomWorlds\Star System

3 - ERROR: Loading screen failed

4 - Exception occured: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at VRage.Steam.MySteamService.get_InventoryItems()

5 - ERROR: failed unload after exception in loading !

6 - Exception occured: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at VRage.Steam.MySteamService.remove_InventoryRefreshed(EventHandler value)

The first "Exception", it looks like you are not connected to Steam to get your Inventory Items after trying to load the Star System world (no Mods).

You said : "i could not find any of my saved games", and that happens when we play the game without internet connection because it creates a new folder when playing without internet.

May be why you don't see any of your saves!?

Well after a day, i launched the game one more time. Surprisingly the game loads, and the world too. i still cant play my older saves, idk why. I was connected to the internet yesterday. i reinstalled the game 3 times, and searched the internet for solution.
Thanks for your response ^^

Old save may not load because too old, well I always have to load and save my world after a game update so it can follow those updates

and I am not able to load old saves if I forgot to update it for too long, so if I don`t open/load my save on every game updates.

I see you have a AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor and a lot have reported problems using 8 cores and I see a lot of errors in your crash log :

Exception occured: System.InvalidOperationException: Steamworks is not initialized.
at Steamworks.InteropHelp.TestIfAvailableClient()

ERROR: Loading screen failed

Exception occured: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

ERROR Entity init!: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Try by doing a fresh installation of the game, that means uninstalling the game with Steam, go delete all remaining SE files in the Steam folder, go delete all SE files in the appdata SE folder. restart the PC and reinstall the game.

:alert: Warning
Backups the Saves and Blueprints folders in appdata SE if you don't want to lose any.

Create a new Star System world for the first test after reinsatlling the game.

I would install it on the C: Drive for a test since it's not working intaslled on the D:, well it should work but seems not to in your PC so would be wise to try on C: Drive for a test.

i'm getting about the same issue, but it's System.NullReferenceExceptions and System._Error.WinIOErrors (Elastic Analytics Events - can't find part of the path).
