Raise reputation with an enemy?

Hi,

I had absolutely no idea me doing missions for one faction destroyed my rep with the others...til the IDWE buggers just tried to kill me.

Now that they are below 500 is there any way to change my rep with them though? Doing quests for their friends only made me lose rep with a load of other factions.

There is literally no indication in the game that this mechanic even exists...when you do a quest you get the little red/green arrows showing rep gain and loss but...correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it logical to think that rep loss would be for failing the quest as the text mentions potential loss for failing.

Kinda of really rather annoying that.

I believe in the faction panel you can see who is allied together and who is fighting. This will help you figure what faction you will lose. However, I'd like to know how to gain back faction when someone hates you.

I realise that now I guess, I knew who they were friends with, just figured it meant haulage missions would go to their stations more often...not that literally everyone else was an enemy who you'd lose rep for :(

I just formed a faction and all of my reputation was reset to zero. So, if you desperately need to reset your reputation, you can create a faction. Or likely leave a faction or create one and then leave it right away. Not an ideal solution, but it might prevent you from being attacked.
