Here are the steps we all do after a game update to find the mods that needs to be removed and reported.
How to test a world or find broken conflicting Mods :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Add and Withdraw one Mod at a time in the copy.
5 - Report to the Mod author (on WS item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.
*copy
Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.
Planet Mods are the worst because we may have to replace the Modded planets if the author does not update it, and removing the planet can be a big problem if there are stations on it.
I have more then enough space on my hard drive, and 32gb of memory, so i do not know at this point, contacting the authors is not really at a point as the planets by itself load just fine, even 10 planets at the same time, with no other mods included just starts the game with no problem, it always start at the 11th or 12th planet, then when i remove these planets, then all is fine again, and it does not matter which planet mod i activate, even ones that i made myself, which i know 100% that are good, fail to load.
I never added that much so there may be a limit, I will have to test with +10 Vanilla planets and retest with +10 Modded planet to see how it goes.

You may contact a SE Programmer, he will tell you if it is a bug or a game limit from a new created "Bug Repoprt" on the Support Portal.
Edit
Click "Submit Bug" on their Support Portal to have a SE Programmer testing the bug for you and be able to chat with you :
https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc
(create "Bug report" or "Request help"(Private) or "Feedback"(Petition) on the Portal)
Details :
1 - I have created a new world, the one named "Star System".
2 - Disabled all the NPCs (Cargo ships, encounters, drones...), disabled Economy because it is a must on creating a new world before pasting new planets, and also disabled Weather.
3 - Loaded and pasted new Vanilla planets, I am at 15 planets in and all good so far :

Conclusion, so far :
-> Seems to work very well adding more Vanilla planets with the world and steps I have used.
EDIT
I have used the Spectator mode F8 to fly far away from the existing planets and paste new ones.
Anywho, i am now trying out of figuring out, instead of single file planets, to pack them in a mod, as a repack, this seems to counter the loading issue, but i still have to learn how to pack multiple planets in 1 pack :S
A SE Programmer would tell you more from a new bug report on the Portal.
