I also strongly recommend to send your save to the SE programmers before fixing it, so they can have a look at a world save having this bug in.
All report directly to the SE Programmers :
Support Portal = https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc
(create "Bug report" or "Request help"(Private) or "Feedback"(Petition) on the Portal)
All may use the Support Email to report the bugs found if they prefer :
Email = support@keenswh.com
You may publish your save on the Workshop and send the link with short description of the problem by Email.
OR
Create a Portal Bug Report, we can transfer from our Drives over there and the SE Programmer can chat with you if needed.
already tried this. It still says true.
Thank you. You all are awesome.
not doing anything.
then you need to wait the number of seconds shown in <Timer>
How much Unknown Signals have you collected before they stopped ?
Are you collecting those non stop without missing any for a week ?
Just trying to find why it happens ...
It isn't the EnableContainerDrops element. Here is the relevant section of my post that was linked by Dan earlier in this thread:
"edit the sandbox.sbc file for that save game, find the section called <PlayerContainerData> and change any <Active>false</Active> elements to <Active>true</Active>."
Thanks for the reply. I'll answer your questions to the best I can.
I was showing a friend who I talked into getting the game the basics. We played for a few days on a fresh world. I would say about 3 to 4 hours average a day. Since he was new and learning, we ignored the signals until he asked what they were. I showed him one, and he pushed the button and didn't get anything, which I thought was odd for your very first one, but thats what happened. I didn't collect any personally. We then grinded it down for the parts.
The next day we played, I didn't see any. We haven't seen any since.
I hope that clears up what was going on. The save game is less than a week old. It's not a big deal to start a new game really. Just kind of odd it happened.
My friend is playing the base game. I have all the DLCs if that matters.
Ok thank you. I'll double check for what you said.
Ok. I made a mistake. My apologies. I was looking at the wrong .sbc file. The one I was looking at was much shorter than this big long one i just found. There are two entries for player IDs. I assume it me and my friend. Both say false for some reason. I will change them and test it tomorrow.
It doesn't happen every time, but it is regular.
