Silver on Pertam?
Does anyone know if there is Silver on Pertam? Ive been driving around the surface of the planet for house and have not found any. It used to be that Silver was always close to Gold, but I guess that must have changed because I have found many Gold deposits but never found any Silver nearby. I have also discovered that Cobalt is never near Iron anymore as it used to be. Anyway, can someone answer me if there is Silver on Pertam? Thanks :)

Edit: I have not been able to find Ice on Pertam either. Is there Ice there?

There pretty much has to be. Without it, players couldn't make medical bays.

Edit: There has to be ice, otherwise you'd run out before being able to do much....

I've found silver in the rocky hills near that grand canyon that divides the planet. Ice is in the grassy area's along the dry washes, valley bottoms and canyon bottoms.

Not that its going to be very relevant to you, but.....

Star System start - Pertam - made large ship with extended range ore detector - Silver at GPS -3956702 -42815 -740818 Depth 42m

If you state your starting game start type, and your current GPS, I can probably tell you where silver is near you....

Hi, explore the dried out lakes, also desert oasis/green grass have ice under.

It is the hardest planet not just about the bad weather but because some ores are at a specific area only, for example -> one of the dried out lakes is full of magnasium, well almost all the ore spots are only magnesium in that dried out lake.

EDIT
Dark spots on sand that looks like it is wet can be ice.

Try those coords :

GPS:Silver:-3951962.47:-51612.02:-749895.39:#FF75C9F1:

GPS:Gold:-3977013.51:-33388.57:-738810.57:#FF75C9F1:

Just select the complete GPS line and copy/paste in-game to use and find this area.
(Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V in LCD text panel will add to GPS Tab auto but set hidden)

Yes, there is silver on Pertam.

The only ore deposit restriction rules (in Vanilla) are these:
- Uranium is only found in the asteroids
- Platinum is only found in the asteroids and in the moons
- Everything else can be found anywhere

I feel that this is a gross overstatement. I could not find any bacon in my kitchen this morning.

There must be some mod in your kitchen that's affecting it. A kitchen without any bacon sounds like a bug. Check your settings. :Steamhappy:
There is silver on Pertam for sure. Do a Google search for "Space Engineers Pertam map" and there's a high definition map showing where every single resource is located. It's a spoiler for sure. But if you're really stuck on Pertam it can be frustrating.

Yes, they are likely too deep for small grid ore detectors. You have to use a large block one instead. Conversely, you can check for white stains on the landscape, and if you can't detect it with the small block OD, it might be silver or gold, you just have to dig down until you detect it with your drill.

There is certainly silver ore. Just looked up the data files. But the spots are randomly covered across the terrain. Unlike the older planets that are much more regularly repeating paterns. And much smaller spots too. The older planet ore distribution has larger patches. You might also need to dig between 21 and 63 meters down.
