ejecting stone or any other unwanted items
since the ejector isn't a thing anymore does anyone know how to throw away stone or gravel

The ejector was just a nerf'ed connector. It has been renamed to "Small Connector." On your small grid toolbar, find the "Small Connector" and it'll work just like the ejector did. You'll just have the added ability to connect with other small connectors.

Hi, it works with connectors since the beginning.

I have tested in the new game version and here is the basic setup :

Example on mining ship

1 - Sorter 1 on green connector set to whitelist stone.

2 - Sorter 2 on blue Cargo set to whitelist Uranium.

3 - Green connector set to "Throw out".

Eject stone and collect Uranium :

A lot of different setups can be done and one we can call "Advanced" would use at least 3 Sorters with 3 Connectors setup to control what can in and out :
