Custom Turret Setup
I got the azimuth rotor working correctly to face the sun but the elevation rotor keeps spinning around.

Here is a snippet of the custom turret controller block: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2940442096

Any advice is appreciated!

EDIT: Make sure your camera is on the rotor that controls elevation!

Rotor sun tracking velocity speed: 0.008 = 2 hr day length
: 0.002 = 8 Hr day length

How that could be used with custom turret controller i have no idea. Perhaps another will have a suggestion for you to try. Have a pleasant day!

As far as I can see, the camera seems to be on the wrong sub-grid to work with the new suntracking feature from the beta.

Place the camera on the same grid the solar panels are on, the turret controller should point the camera directly towarts the sun, given elevation and azimuth rotors/hinges are correctly set up in the turret controller.

It's a new option added in the Beta test, we can use the CTC to track the sun but the camera must be where the solar panels are and seems the OP found the solution.

Use a hinge instead of a rotor for elevation it only needs to go up and down 90 degrees to -90 degrees (lay flat either direction). Use a rotor for the azimuth because that axis does need to spin 360 degrees.
