Place the camera on the same grid the solar panels are on, the turret controller should point the camera directly towarts the sun, given elevation and azimuth rotors/hinges are correctly set up in the turret controller.
It's a new option added in the Beta test, we can use the CTC to track the sun but the camera must be where the solar panels are and seems the OP found the solution.
