so, you build the landing leg once and that just unlocks the tree?
you don't need to actually use the landing leg connected to anything?

I see how it flashes "parts unlocked" for a split-second. I think i missed that before doh

You don't even have to build the whole thing, you just have to get it functional. In some cases you can grind down something on your spawn pod below functional and then weld it back and it counts. Just don't do that with batteries because you don't recover power components. Also be sure anything you grind you already have unlocked or you won't be able to re-weld it. But simple things light lights and landing gear get you some quick unlocks that way.
Enable/Disable progression as you want in the game options inside the Load Game menu, after you select a saved game. Progression is one of the square check boxes at the bottom of that options page. There are different options menus. Which one we go in to depends on how we navigate to it. These options are in each world's settings after we select one from the Load Game screen.
