Problem with some scrap metal
Since the last update and the bug with the computer components, one ship turned into a 67,000k of scrap metal. A huuuuuge single piece of 67,000k scrap metal.
It's glitching, jumping, dancing, flying all around my base. If it goes 2 km away, it will come back again. But it can damage blocks and kill people by hitting them.
I can press F to pick a little and put it in a container. But I only can carry 15k of scrap metal at once. So..... 67,000/15 = 4466... that's a lot...
And I think that because this huge piece of (s)crap is glitching, the ore is also glitching. The ore falling from the mining process will go down, then suddenly go back from where it was, fall again, come again,... And that makes the drilling ship bounce and horrible to pilot.
So, any idea how to get rid of that scrap metal ?

Can you turn on creative tools with Space Master and just ctrl-x to delete it?

If you need a legit way to do it, create a tug with merge blocks and attach to your wreck to bring it under control, then feed it to a grinder.

if you dont care about your base grind it with a hand grinder making it explode. i had one kill me after the patch.
same thing happened to me. pirate ship shot at my base and suddenly a massive flying piece of scrap spawened in and wrecked half my base. thanks keen! luckily i had just saved, and a reload solved the problem.

I'm on a survival server (not mine). Can the admin do the ctrl+x even there ?
Otherwise i tried to use the hand grinder but it did nothing. Maybe because it's moving too much ?
I'll ask the admin. If he can't i'll try the merge block.
Thx guys ;)

The best thing to deal with that problem is roll back to a save before the patch and the problems.

We can all try rolling back to the 32 bit legacy. 🤕
