I recommend to do a quick test, create a new No Mods world set creative mode, use the asteroid only world named "Red crashed ship" to load faster, keep all world advanced setting on default and try to see if the same.
= Doing that test will give you the first clue as to know if it is a game bug or happens in only one specific save.

You may share your save here so I can load to help you find the cause.
>> How to publish a world save :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Publish" button on the left.
3 - Choose a proper Tag, check Steam upload and click the OK button.
4 - Your world will be uploaded to Steam Workshop.
5 - Paste the Workshop item link here.
here it is. thanks in advance :)
That world save is bugged, it is modified at a point of "No Return" that means some Mods have deleted important code lines in the save files and can't be loaded without its Mods.
Testing details :
1 - I skipped the 17GB download and removed the 203 Mods :
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2900445364
2 - Loading the save gave an error and kicked me back the main game menu :

Conclusion = Some Mods broke the save files of the world named "Alkurah Star System".
___
It's important to test one Mod at a time.
-> To know what the Mod adds, to learn how the Mod work, know if broken, and load one Mod at a time to know if some are conflicting.
-> Some Mods can break the save files where you can lose your Fav save if you don't know anything about the Mod = Forgot to test first.
You may follow the steps we all do after a game update to find the mods that needs to be removed and reported.
How to test a world or find broken/conflicting Mods :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Withdraw or add one Mod at a time in the copy.
5 - Report to the Mod author (on WS item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.
*copy
Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.
Since you use a lot (203), I recommend to remove about 50 Mods at a time to help you pinpoint, but you will have to do this in a copy or a new created world because removing Mods in your save may corrupt it.
I LOVE SUFFERING! lol :)
if anyone have same troubles with block placement reach, here it is:

I will add your last post as the solution.
I created and published the original version of that mod in the distant past, and a quick look at it and at the game files confirms that Keen changed a few things, so the mod needs updating to match the current data. I see you already left a note on that mods page so hopefully it will get attention and fixed soon :)
