Hi, restart your PC First and go delete the CFG file.

How to :

Type in your explorer: %appdata%\SpaceEngineers
Go to the SpaceEngineers folder
C: users / your username / appdata / roaming / spaceengineers

>> then delete the ''SpaceEngineers.cfg'' file and try the game.

:alert:
Doing so will reset all SE options and controls to default.

Also this :

How to Verify integrity of game cache:

- Right click on Space Engineers in your Steam Library.
- Go to properties.
- Go to LOCAL FILES tab.
- Click Verify integrity of game cache
- When done try the game.

Edit

I know you already tried but do it again after deleting the CFG file.

tried it and nothing, it hasn't even created a new cfg file in its place

Looks like a bad installation for X reasons cause it should create new on loading = :riddle:

Share the game log file and I will see if I can find some clues in there.

Follow #3 in the Devs Guide on hoiw to report on Steam :

3. post log file along with description, it can be found here: C:\Users\{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.log
or simply paste this into your Explorer:
%appdata%\SpaceEngineers
The log file should be from the game session where you've encountered the bug. If you start the game again, the log will be overwritten.
post log file to www.pastebin.com and share the link on forum

Something is wrong for sure but I don't know what.

Something is blocking the SE folder in appdata on your C: Drive = ??

Is it full? do you still have available space on the C: Drive?

Antivirus?
i got a good 50gb free on my c drive and antivirus is turned off

I know Avast users have to add SE.exe to the exeption list to be able to play tho Windows 10 users don't need a antivirus

>> do you use Windows 10 + antivirus? (Win10 does not need)
nope i use windows defender

Ok, so that should not be a problem.

mmmm when I can't play a Fav game = I do a fresh installation of my GPU Driver.

>> That means > uninstall the GPU Driver with Windows, go delete all remaining GPU Driver folders on the C: Drive (NVIDIA or AMD depends on the GPU used) , restart the PC and REinstall the GPU Driver with Experience NVIDIA app or with Catalyst AMD auto installer.

All seems OK in there tho the GPU is a bit low with 2222 points on the 3D test and the minimum to play is with :
Radeon R9 270X = 4694 points on the 3D test
GeForce GTX 750 = 3325 points on the 3D test

But you should be able to run SE on low graphic settings.

___

Double check your PC sound format and make sure it's not over 24 Bits + 48 000 Hz cause the game will not load if higher.

_____

IF

You can't run the game at all = Go open a "Request for help" on the Support Portal and a SE programmer will have a look at your problem.

Paste the Steam information + a short description of your problem in your report.
