Oxygen tank on small ship not refilling suit in cockpit
On an old "astroid start" save (before planet update) I noticed that after building a new small mining ship the oxygen tank is not being used by the cockpit. The oxygen tank is connected directly behind the small cockpit and I have the two small ports lines up with the ones behind the cockpit and the big port of my oxygen tank is lined up with a cargo bay port of the same size. After I moved my oxygen bottles into the tank it keeps saying oxygen storage 0% no matter how many bottles I move into the tank and it will not refill my suit while sat in the cockpit. The entire ship is powered on. I also tried storing oxygen bottles in the cockpit directly but it is not refilling my suit either.

Tested new world: Easy start 1 on astroids
I went to the welder ship that has a similar setup as the ship described in Lone survivor. I notice the oxygen tank on this ship is lit (3 blocks light up green) but there seems to be 0 bottles of oxygen stored anywhere in the ship. It still shows 100% filled and mysteriously can refill my suit once I enter the cockpit.
When I grind down the oxygen tank and replace it with a new one in the same orientation I end up with the same problem as in Lone Survivor, the lights on the tank do not come on and no matter how many bottles I put in there it remains at 0% and is not filling my suit when I enter the cockpit. When I turn the tank off 3 red squares light up on the tank. When I turn it on all lights on the tank are off again.
I tested this a few times with new easy start worlds. Even if I grind just a little bit in the original tank of the welder ship and then weld that tank back up again I can no longer get it to work

Anyone else noticed this problem ? I am not sure when this issue was introduced in my game because I have been mainly playing on planets lately.

I am also not using any active mods.

Bottles do not fill tanks...tanks fill bottles.

An Oxygen Generator is smaller and cheaper on mats then a Tank.

You need an Oxygen Generator some where to fill the Tank.

This is correct. Also connecting to a station or large ship with an O2 gen will refil the tank and cockpit as well without having to put an O2 generator on your small ship.

there appears to be a bug atm, yes another one added with latest patch that stops oxygen getting to small cockpit.

I've verified that all my small ships' cockpits are being refilled with O2 via the connector.

I loaded up an Easy Start Platform map and was able to fill the cockpit of the starter fighter with O2 from the station via the connector.

I don't see the but to which you refer. How can one duplicate the bug?

In multiplayer you are no longer losing oxygen in cockpit, but the moment you get out, Oxygen goes to zero if you have been inside cockpit long enough. I dont really care if u can replicate it or not, its happening.

I found an old demonstration video from the oxygen update (a long long time ago) where you could build a small ship both ways, with generator only or with a tank only. Perhaps things have changed in the past year or so but can't seem to remeber having this issue before? It has been a long time since I tried to build a small ship that way.

I am talking about the welder design in easy start 1, not the fighter. When you start the tank is full of air even without any bottles installed. I seem to remember i could just use bottles to be used for the cokcpit when necessary.

Afaik the 3 ships on the platform are designed differently and demonstrate 3 ways you could build a small ship that routes air to the cockpit. The welder uses a storage tank, miner uses cargo bay + convoyors (where you could simply store oxygen bottles in the cargo) and fighter uses oxygen generator.

I believe it also used to work if you stored oxygen bottles in the cockpit itself, this also does not work now (in my old save.)

:p Miner = Oxygen Gen. Fighter = bottles.

hmm I guess I am getting a bit tired, will check again tomorrow and do some more testing as well to make sure :)

Is this is a MP issue only? If so that's fine.

I'm asking if you can duplicate the issue in SP Survival on one of the starter maps. I wan't able to duplicate the issue when I tried. If you can duplicate it in SP Survival provide the steps and I'll try again.
