Remote Control: Can't control thrusters (or anything) (Solved)

When trying to access the remote control block on my large ship, the "control thrusters" and all of that other stuff is grayed out. The antenna is clearly visible, and everything on the ship is set to Me.
I can still Control, but I cannot move at all when in Remote Control mode.

What's the reason for this?

Solved: It looks like having the main cockpit actually being the "Main Cockpit" was causing the issue. Now it's working as it should.

You wouldn't happen to be in another seat set as the "main cockpit" on the ship you are trying to move at the same time are you? That would lock out any other control if the ship. Or, is there another ship docked/connected to your ship that is on a the same time? The thrusters from any ship connected to it can negate your movement if you don't turn them off.

I'm trying to control it from the 'light tunnel' of my ship (it's always lighted due to the sun), and I have several chairs there for watching the astroids go by.
Anyway, I was trying to control from that. I do have two small ships docked inside, but both of their thrusters are off (I made sure of that).

The weird thing, is even the main cockpit of the ship, they're still grayed out. And when trying to remote control, it too says "This is not main cockpit!" when it clearly is.

sounds like you checked the main cockpit toggle on flight seat or whatever that you use in the actual cockpit, or somewhere else, which blocks controling flight from any other seat, and perhaps remote control.

I checked the main cockpit, and it is set to be the Main Cockpit. No longer getting 'This is not main cockpit!" when using the remote control, but the Control Thrusters and stuff like that are still grayed out.

I had a similar issue with one of my builds. All the controls were grayed out and it took me a while to figure out what was the issue. I had forgot to build a gyro onto the grid I was trying to control. Once I did this all the controls started working.

Well, Gyros aren't a problem. The ship has more than enough (and they're all active) Gyros to manuver it.
Any other advice that could be causing this, will be helpful.

Are the thrusters damaged or unfinished?

Nope. Nothing's wrong with the thrusters. They're all working.

well it looks like the remote control option to control thrusters is checked(if for some reason greyed out) , so when you hit control and use the regular movement keys to move the ship, nothing happens?

@Modi: That is correct. Nothing happens. I have no control. The gyros won't even work. Yet they work fine when in Autopilot.

I seem to remember a bug like that, at the time the only fix I knew was to log out and back in, I'd search the bug forums for autopilot bugs.

The only other thing I can think of is to remove and replace the control unit now that you've unchecked the main cockpit option on the flight seat.

I said I had the cockpit I was in as the main cockpit. However, disabling that gave me control. The remote control is working fine now.
