I think the 90 degree roation only applies to station blueprints. You cannot change that if it is a station.

I was able to create a station rotated slowly, but it was not from a blueprint.
If you are using the projector block then I think the blueprint must align along the axes of that block.

For the F10 menu in creative, I've never really needed to slow rotate but I don't remember being able to do so.

If you are talking about in survival with the projector block, then it must align with the grid that the projector is on, so you can only rotate it by 90 degrees. If you are talking about pasting a ship in with creative, then try hitting B so it will rotate freely rather than sticking to surface orientations.

This, and try not to spawn a ship too close to the surface. Spawning a ship will cause it to spawn as a station, where the convert buttons are both greyed out.

If you spawn a ship with part of it underground, it has to be a station or it will explode, so yes the convert buttons will be greyed out.

I am getting them greyed out when they are too close to the ground, but not while actually touching the ground. And they stay grayed out when I cut-paste the grid into the sky above.

Press B to change in/out of station rotation mode.

Gonna give that another try...

Edit: and it failed... I suspect that placing the bounding box, and not the grid is what triggers this. And once triggered, it is pernament as far as I can see ATM.

Would be nice if one of these threads told me how to actually rotate something.

You rotate with the buttons above the arrow keys.

I don't have a problem with rotation, my problem is that the orientation of the blueprint isn't dead on it's kinda tilted.. picture an I only it's italicized so it's slanted, like this /. So no matter which way I rotate it, it is never an I.. it's just a 90 degree flipped /.

Soooo if you click v while you are in the menu of rotating then you can do it more accuratly :)
