How do reset the orientation of a block back to center?
I am new at this game and I've screwed up the facing of a block by using home, end, insert, delete, etc. How do I make it just go back to it's original position so that I can start again. I hadn't realised that the rotation was free and not incremental (my preference).

Please! There has to be a way to return a selection in the toolbar to it's original position. It's fundamental. I've rotated one object and now ALL the objects I select from the toolbar use that tilt and there's no way to reset them back to ground. :steamsad:

Have you tried "B"?

Eureka! You can switch to a block size that will snap to another and it will automatically reset to that orientation. That's not a perfect solution, but a good enough work-around.
Of course if you started with nothing on an open planet you are SOL I would imagine (never done it)

IMHO there should really be a key to reset this. Like numpad 5 or 0 or something.

I still don't know what B does. I'm in the tutorial # 7 where you build your first ship.

nah i think B just orientates the block to a surface. for instances, matching the slope of a hill (probably gravity orientated). But good to know!

:) Yeah it still needs some tweaking, but i think its definately a step in the right direction (the new building system, that is).

Edit: should just chuck that idea in the suggestion area. ;) if it hasnt already been done.

Thanks for replying and B does sound helpful planetside.

Also, when copying/pasting, B aligns to the horizontal axis.
