1) No srsly, red often means no power... so you might wanna check on that first.
3) Maybe your reactor doesn't provide enough power to fuel them?
2) Are they built up entirely?
4) Is there any chance that they aren't connected correctly (inventory access side of the blocks not facing each other)?
5) Is there any chance that they aren't connected at all (like you accidentaly built them on different ships, and now there's a little space somewhere, and they aren't connected)?
6) Try using the connector to control other parts of your ship / station, that are only connected over through conveyor tubes (so you see if it leaks). This would mean there is no power connection between the connector and the rest of the ship, which would be a problem.
7) Have you set the conveyor tubes the right way? They only provide a connection to the open sides, so every connector tube has only 2 sides where it transmits power and items.
