How to use single player world as multiplayer server

I was going to set up my own server like I used to do in minecraft so my buddies and I can play and none of us have to be on at a particular time. Is there a way to use my current world in single player as the world on the multiplayer server once I start it? I don't really want to start all over if possible :D

I would try (and I have not actually set up a server) copying the save to the server and then start the server up, edit setting on the save and see if you can change the setting to allow other players. Remember to create a steam group otherwisw random greifers will connect and smash that you are building.
