Help with dedicated space engineers server
So starting off i have 3 different server - teamsepeak, mumble, and a Ark Survival server. So with that being said i know how to port forward. Now i have got everything set up in the dedicated space engineers Appilation i've port forwarded and followed the steps on http://www.spaceengineersgame.com/dedicated-servers.html - the only step that gets me is the static IP now i have a pc that i specifically use to host servers (the 3 different server i talked about before) for me and my friends that being said it runs 24/7 so the ip never has a chance to change and i have ran my other server over a year now and had no problems and another step in not sure about is Firewall settings: (Make sure to set the firewall on your server computer to allow incoming UDP traffic on the listen port) not sure how to do that.. So the application says the server is run but me and my friends dont see it and i have now ran it for a day and still am not seeing it. Plz help!!!

Thank for the help in return.

PS: The computer that has the server is at another house so im not able to check if its on lan by looking on space engineers so is there another way to check that and if so how can i change that.

Try disabling the firewall on the host AND the client to see if it makes any difference. You also should check if you really forwarded UDP Port 27016... not TCP. Then if everyone has your correct public IP there is nothing else you have to do to join your server. You also could try to change the server port... maybe the port is blocked by some service on your host, but then remember to forward this new port and that the clients has connect to an ip like x.x.x.x:PORT.

Also, be sure the dedicated server ist REALLY running... SE-Server needs a LOT of RAM, dont know how many RAM Ark server needs, but maybe it´s to much for your host. Try running only SE-Server to see, if it makes any difference. I also dont remember the exact message the SE-server displays when its ready to join to... but in the task manager you can see a ram-usage jump from couple of hundrets to gigabytes when the server loads completely and the CPU usage gets from 100% load of one core to something lower.

Disabling the firewall is not so safe and i am port forwarding 27016 but i have it both. Now as for the public ID is that how i fined the game in space engineers? How can i BE SURE its running... i mean it says its running and i have not seen it pop open a message saying its joinable.
Thanks for trying to help

Disabling the firewall only for troubleshooting shouldn´t be a problem. I googled a picture where you can see how it looks like, if the server is completely bootet and running: Link[4.bp.blogspot.com]

Try connect to your server by typing the public ip of your host in the Connect field in the lower field of the server-browser in SE.

And check again the public ip of your host. You said, the ip never changed because the host ist 24/7 online. Thats wrong, your public ip can always been renewed, that has nothing to do with 24/7 running devices in your own network.
