Hi, try the Inventory Keys :

Ctrl or Shift + Left Click move 10 or 100 of selected item between available inventories.
Ctrl + Shift + Left Click moves 1000 items at once.
Double clicking the stack moves the entire stack directly.
Right Click to Drag and Drop to specify an amount of items.

no i mean is there a quick way to stack in and inv like when i want to make say 5 conv tubes so i click 5 times it shows up in the assembler with 5* the same components but not stacked i wanted to know if i could stack them easily

Pretty sure Dan gave you the answer, sure 5 is not one of the options but pressing and holding ctrl and or shift then on the build icon will stack the components in the production tab

I think ctrl does 10, shift 100, ctrl-shift 1000.

Because that's not how to stack them.

Go into the production tab, select the block tab and find what you need in this case the conveyor and hold down ctrl and click the conveyor.

You now have all components queued up and stacked.

Blocks tab is not the best description, you are looking at what you can make in the basic assembler. Click on the component you want to make and stack.
Ctrl+click for 10 of those components, Shift+click to make 100, and Ctrl+Shift+click to make 1000 of them.

Do you mean after clicking on a bunch of blocks to make components for, being able to sort all components by type and then STACK all of the totals into just one total number of X component to produce.

Example: I have orders for:
5 construction components
25 power components
10 thruster compoents
25 construction components
10 power components

The result of hitting something like a "stack" button would be order for this condensed list:
30 construction components
35 power components
10 thruster components

Is that what you're asking for?

I use a bag of gravel as a divider between components that make up larger pieces, if I understand what the OP is trying to do. Gravel stays put, unlike, ahem, scrap.

I don't know of any way other than dragging stacks of the same components on top of each other. This is also how you can reorder the list to get certain components assembled first.

Personally, I don't do that sort of thing as I'm usually using the build planner to create my assembly queue and I want the assembler to make what I need for each block in order. This way I can weld up my blocks as the components for them get finished instead of having to wait for all the components to finish and then finish welding up all the blocks and the end. I find it annoying to have to wait for a bunch of steel plates, that I don't need for my current block, to finish being made before the assembler starts making the motors that I'm actually waiting for.
