I tried using CM to pick apart a Gremlin to see where the darn Inhibitor is. Found only the AI module, but my energy was still being sapped. Somehow the girnder workerd (maybe beacuse of CM) and I hacked the control seat. And sure enough, you can see a block on the list. But even after I stripped the poor thing down to just the bare elements needed to keep it afloat... NADA. Can't find the thing.
And the best part is, even if you find a solution to the problem... Lucas constantly updates the code, so if you remove it via code edition... it will come back after an update. So yeah, he seems to have it out for people who don't want to play his way.
Guy did great work. But now he let it go to his head, and acts like a child.
There are variable difficulty levels in his mods, pick the one that suits your style of play...
That aside there are lots of ways around the inhibitors. They only exist to stop people cheesing the combat which is the who point of the mod...
So please stop belittling a very hard working content creator just because you don't like one very small aspect, it's very disrespectful.
People complaining about what he puts into his own work is very disrespectful.
Imagine if you spent hundreds of hours making something just for some random to come along and DEMAND that changes be made then become insulting when you disagree...
Not very nice huh?
This is what you are doing.
Please stop.
The quickest way to burn out content creators is for ungrateful people to belittle them for their hard work.
Ultimately if you have a problem with the mod then don't use it.
I am a language tutor by trade. And, by your logic, if my students start complaining about my teaching methods and the way I teach, I should tell them to go somewhere else if they don't like it? Cuz that's what Lucas is doing. Dissing people for not wanting to play his version of the game.
The original mods brought him fame, so it stands to reason that people like them and want to keep playing them. But he took that away, and replaced with something that he likes, and is standoffish if you call him out on that. True, they have a lot of people downloading them, but how many ACTUALLY play them, after they expirience the new features? Like I said, it takes too much effort to deal with a ship in a way, that lets you get something out of the whole enterprise.
I am no stranger to challanges, and I like to put my brian to work. But if the result is to basically rip apart a ship with gunfire while playing solo, or forces you to use a large team to do that surgically, then... yeah, a bit of an overkill.
And don't say he does that for free. He has a Patreon, he earns money for his work. And as far as attitude goes, his sucks just as much as the people who ask for change. The "Easy take over ship" BP and they way he tells people off kindda works against him.

Oh... Lookie lookie... Someone who doesn't give a flip about people who don't like his work is replying to a post that criticises his work. Maybe you should follow your own advice? "No likey ? Don't read it?"
*Snark Mode Off*
Seriously though. I can understand your frustration to an extent, but maybe you could consider both sides of the matter? If you have the code for the originals, just let people have it. Double cred will go to your popularity. Or stop messing with a code, cuz that only proves that you have a vendetta against everyone who doesn't share your idea of how the game should be played. People will create a disabling mod and that's that. We all can have our cake and eat it.
