Some members were not able to join MP worlds and here is what they did to fix :
1 - The problem was caused by router MTU being set to 1400 to my ISP gateway. Changing the MTU to 1500 fixed the problem.
MTU = Maximum Transmission Unit
2 - Turn off ASUS' ROG GameFirst, that app got reported preventing members to play MP.
3 - Also one member was stuck in space and could not see the respawn screen, he switched to Wifi to fix.
(switch to direct wire connected to home router if you already use Wifi)

The reason why you may not be able to host a server session from your home might be due to your ISP, having a internet connection that tunnels IPv4 traffic over IPv6 protocol. This is called Dual Stack Light, where a Dual Stack connection would have IPv4 work parallel and independant to IPv6. Some ISPs do that because they can't give everyone of their users a unique IPv4 internet address. They provide you with a address that is hidden behind one of their routers. It's also called Carriergrade-NAT. Someone or a server on the internet has the same IPv4 address and Steam/Space engineer traffic gets sent the wrong way. You can't port forward in that case, or whatever you set up in your router regarding portforwarding will be in vain.
However, I have never heard of someone not being able to play on or join servers due to that at all. Just hosting servers from home is a problem in most cases.
I would suggest contacting your Internet Service Provider and asking what might be something that blocks your attempts to join servers. I've heard of people on wireless mobile phone connections or tethered through mobile phones having problems connecting to games.
Because neither Steam (except on public beta test branch) nor Space Engineers (or indeed most other Steam games) support IPV6 yet.
