In-Game Time vs Real Time

I mean, if it says my battery will take 2 hrs to fully recharge, is that 2 real hours?

Anything you see in your user inferface is written in real time, your batteries will recharge in that many real minutes, your power will last that many real hours and so on...

The only thing that is not in real time is the visuals, just what you see with the shadows and sun.

yes,but you can decrease the charge time by adding energy sources

I'm just wondering why batteries on ship say it takes 1 hr now to fully recharge but there's only one green light instead of 2 or 3.

Those green lights start at 25/50/75/100%, you will not see 1 green light at 24.99% and you will never see 4 green lights unless the battery is fully charged and not being used yet, as soon as it goes to 99.99% its 3 green lights.

OK but I expected to see at least 2 of 'em, since when battery started charging it said 2hrs remaining and now it's 1hr to go but still only 1 green light.

Real hours... Yeah.

This is one of the main gripes I have with playing the game solo; things often take several hours to complete so you spend a fair bit of time just standing without being able to do anything else. Can't build since you don't have enough components. Can't make components because you're waiting on things to refine. Can't mine more because your batteries aren't recharging fast enough. Can't charge ships faster because you can't make solar panels fast enough.

That depends on how much power gets used to charge the batteries.

When you have enough spare power to charge them at max speed it only takes 15 minutes if I remember right.
