your setup is pretty close to mine, minus the fact that most intel series H processors are laptops if i remember correctly, similar to the HQ but not low power. space engineers is less ram focused, but rather more processor speed. your specs should run the game just fine, but dont push the game's limits by crashing multiple massive objects. space engineers does support multi-threading (which your cpu should handle just fine) but still heavily relies on cpu clock speeds more. sadly i dont know if your cpu supports overclocking, and your cpu is a tad low at the given speeds. (2.2 GHz right?)
adding another 8 gigs of ram would definitely speed things up and make things feel a little more snappy and lag less when the cpu is under load, if you have the funds (not expensive).
with a gtx 1060 laptop edition, i assume its a 3GB and not the 6. you should run the game at about 60 FPS or better (planets vs space) at around medium to mid-high settings. if it happens to be the 6 gb version expect around 80 FPS planets and 100 space with ships present. obviously, your monitor will determine the number of frames your graphics card actually puts out at maximum.
for your comparison, my system:
M.2 drive boot drive
intel i5 6th gen overclocked to 4.3 GHz
16 gig DDR4
water cooled
if you dont have space engineers yet, you will not be disappointed if you enjoy space, sandbox and minecraft type games. happy engineering!
Some settings are turned way down, like grass is very low (but not off), but others are set to high or maxed out.
Now, keep in mind, by running the game AND netflix off of 8gb ram does just about max it out, but it is doable.
Adding more RAM will make you quite a bit happier in the long run.
