So it looks like it should be able to run all !!??
Maybe report to Steam support, it's in Help on top of your Steam app.

I recommend to go post a good reason why it's needed with your vote to help the members asking for it.
Current proton compatibility seems to be better than it used to be.

I don't know much about Linux, maybe SE doesn't like the specific distro the Steam Deck is using.
No, I am not a SE Programmer and not a SE Dev so I could not say why.
____
Note
In case you don't know me I must specify :
-> I am not SE Dev but Moderator community helper/game tester and the SE Devs gave me the [Dev] Tag so I can be admin of the Workshop to help more.
(Steam Moderator Role can't be admin)
I also collect the most talked about every months to add to my monthly report to the SE Team, and I help the SE community cause it's my Fav sandbox game on Steam.
This claim has already been discussed in Linux gaming circles. The steam deck *cannot* run all your games, especially certain games that involve anticheat but won't let Linux run the anticheat (For example, Bungie being absolute bellends and refusing to do allow it). However, in the vast majority of other cases, if you can run it on Linux (SE Runs almost flawlessly), you can run it on the steam deck if it meets performance requirements.
I have games in my Library I can't play because I use exclusively Linux. If valve had everything working for Linux, then I'd be over the moon, but it's just the fact of things. Some developers are tools. SE already should be fully functional though, with some tweaks.
I got that part already, all the news we can find about it is not really true, so it can't run all Steam games in our library.
(well using Google to find news about Steam Deck)
Tho I saw one news where they said it was possible to install Windows on the Steam Deck, but not really sure if that is true, too ;)
