Custom Turrets won't look up.
Has anyone had a problem with the custom turret controller turrets not being able to look up? They rotate, they shoot, they look down. I just can't look up. I have reset the world, copied and pasted the ship, rebuilt them. No matter what I do, they won't look up.

Were you careful at what angle you built the turret at? Also, it's possible you have a block or blocks that are clipping with the base of the turret. Try simplifying the turret to something ridiculously simple and see if that works.

one of your blocks is hitting the hinge points.

I don't think that is it. I built a rotor, hinge, artillery cannon and it acts just like the rest were it can do everything except look up. There is nothing to to clip.

Hi, looks like you forgot to setup the "Up and Down" Torque/Braking Torque, or just forgot to add it into the right box of the controller block.

I use a cockpit with Gryro(s) added on the last grid of the turret to setup/find the right Torque values.

+ After the above is done = I will remove the cockpit if I don't want to keep.

I make it work with cockpit first :

But you may share your save here so all can load to help find the best solution for your concept.

>> How to publish a world save :

1 - Select your save.

2 - Click the "Publish" button on the left.

3 - Choose a proper Tag, check Steam upload and click the OK button.

4 - Your world will be uploaded to Steam Workshop.

5 - Paste the Workshop item link here.

NOTE

Keep in mind that controller + Ai enabled got reported giving problems when adding more than one on the same grid, so better use only one per grid till the SE programmers push a Hotfix.

I will add :

If Mods used = Create a copy where you will remove all Mods for a test, that will give you the first clue as to know if it is a Mod problem and you will not mess up the original save for testing.

How to create a Testing copy :

1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a copy.
4 - Load the copy for testing.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Oh! It was a "Bad" download installation!?

You could just have verified the game files with Steam before uninstalling, the how to is added here :
