[issue/bug] Drill Block tool not working properly
so i just finished a mining build after assigning the block tool {drill} to my hot bar when ever i click to use functions (main/secondary) it only works on one of the 2 drills i have on the ship. i can still use groups to mine but i would like to access the alt function on my drills so i can dig more spacious holes for my miner when im digging for ore. can anyone tell me my options to fix this?

Hi, it should work if all Drils are on the same grid where the cockpit is but not when using subgrids.

Question = Is it a multigrid creation?
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Middle mouse click switches between using all tools/weapons of a kind to only using one tool/weapon.

Not sure exactly why that feature exists, it's uses are fairly limited and it tends to cause confusion for most players as it is one of those fairly unknown quirks of SE.

To be honest, I never use the Middle mouse click on block tools/weapons and me too think it's useless.

But cool to use when having rocket launchers on 2 wings for example but not needed for Drills, imo ;)

yep that did it thanks. im with you it seems like a odd feature. oh well im just glad my miner tool works now.

I've used the MMB to get all drills to visually start working, but only 1 drill destroys the terrain while all of them are turning. (Restarting the game has not helped to clarify)

That is a strange one, never ran into that issue myself.
Maybe an outdated mod?

Have you tried verifying gamefiles?

I would delete and add new ones, also may delete the cockpit to replace with a new one all on default settings if still not working after replacing all Drills.

If still not working after the above ^
-> I would create a new No Mods world, creative mode and paste it the Blueprint for testing.

If still not working = Send the save to the SE programmers for testing or create a new forum discussion where you will paste in the Workshop item link of your save asking all to help testing that new bug found.
