Target lcoking and rectangle not working.
hi a have a problem that new targeting system dos not work online only offline and the ships spawned from mods are not recognized and marked to target lock i use Modular Encounters Systems with coruppted, orcks and one more pve ship set to fight but targeting is bugyy right now.
Du only i have this problem or more players have it ??

There are known issues with the system in multiplayer games. Some may be due to mods needing updating, see the mod page on the workshop and also look at bug reports on the Keen support site https://support.keenswh.com/

Hi, I recommend to create a "Testing world", a new No Mods world in creative mode to test the new Target system.

= Doing so will give you the first clue as to know if it is bugged in all new created Vanilla world or in only one specific save.

Telling you this cause I just tested the target lock and it works but not so easy.

+ about Mods

We just got a major update => not all Mods but some need to be reported to the Mod author so he can update it to the new game version.


Here is what we all do after a game update to find the Mods that needs to be removed to give the Modders time to update.

How to test a world or find broken/conflicting Mods :

1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Withdraw or add one Mod at a time in the copy.

5 - Report to the Mod author (on WS item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.

Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.

I just used the Portal search tool and can't find any similar reports so it may just be a Mod problem !?

= Testing Vanilla MP is needed to know more.

Always verify the community reports on the Portal because more than A Lot are participating in the making of the game by reporting all Bugs they find so the bug or feedback may already be in with good information from the SE Devs.

Good testing Tip

1- Create your turret or use/prepare a Fighter (ship).

2 - Create a Vanilla Drone spawner to test the Target lock on enemy Drones.

It's very easy to create enemy drone spawner in this game and here is the how to :

i did remove all mods expect coruted so thier ship wuld stay only one mod in game with spawned ships from corrupted mod with is full vanilla ship and did it offline same result it wuld mark some debree as white rectangle but the ships in the air wuld not be marked distance from my turret vanilla gatling and canon turet not the altilery one is from 400M to 1,8km but no rectangle on ships wuld apeare.

So, correct me if I am wrong, you don't see the smaller red circle when you lock a enemy ship spawned from a Mod name "corrupted mod" ?

Oh! I see it's when controlling a turret.

I just tested while in a cockpit so far in MP and it works very well :

yes but it dose mark debree from ships so it works somehow but du not work at the same time with is strange.

Testing done so far = Works fine controlling it.

1 - Aim at the enemy ship.
2 - Hold right mouse button till locked on.

I have noticed that it's a hit if I aim a bit higher when the enemy drone goes out of range.

I was able to hit over 800m :

Notes
- Crosshair must be enabled.
- Target lock enabled on turret in control panel.

It may be bugged only in that save?
-> Have you tried in a new created No Mods world to see if the same?
