Game keeps freezing every few minutes for unknown reason

Is there a fix or something to prevent the game from constantly freezing in place every few minutes? It just randomly freezes me in place and its annoying.
I found some sort of fix by replacing the dll with the space engineers sdk dll but that didn't help me

Sounds like a bug since this is not the first thread on this in the last few days, one suggestion is that auto save is causing it on some computers (and I say some since most dont seem to be having this problem). See if the freeze is happening around the time of the game auto saving, if so disable autosave and see if that fixes it.

Even if it does or doesn't also try and get the log files from the app data/roaming folder, it will be a file with a string of numbers denoting the date and time and post it to the bug report forum on Keens site. You may need to upload them to pastebin first or something since they can be kind of long.

Of course it could be other reasons, mods are one of the things that too cause lag/freeze/slowdown, so if a modded world, copy the save, remove all the mods and test to see if freezes still, if not then add mods until it does and report the mod to the mod dev on their workshop page.

well the thing is it also froze when i was in main menu so auto save can't do that xD i exited to main menu, went to relaunch the save but when i entered the saved games screen it froze again xD

Might be a long shot on this then, but do you have loads of saves? Like maybe a few dozen or more different files in your load folder? If so I have found that having a lot of them can cause this freezing problem.

If you do, go to the save folder usually c:\users\[username]\appdate\roaming\spaceengineers\saves

Find the folder with a long string of numbers (thee should be either 1 or 2 folders here a shorter string and a longer string), Cut as many folders from this location as you can outside of currently used ones and paste them somewhere else like the standard documents folder under a new folder called something like:

SE Save Backup

Load the game back up and see if that improves performance.

after i restarted my pc and went to play again seems no more freezing, i gues my own pc was at fault maybe too much ram usage or gpu usage but so far a few hours and no more freezing

my game froze after a window popped up telling me to reconnect my controller after the battery died on it. I've had a couple of times where I went into changing the graphical settings in the main menu and I could move the mouse cursor but the game wouldn't register any of my clicks lol This game is just jankie as hell.
