Dual rotor on station -> I use a Tug ship to grab the subgid where I placed 2 rotor heads on it, position that grid aligned with the rotors, go in Terminal to click the attach buttons in same time by creating a group of the rotors + add to toolbar keys set to attach.
Me, I just use 2 ADV Rotors, that concept is very stable and works very well :

Keep in mind, better not keep the "Not working" concepts, better redo new/different concepts/setups till you find all the stable working ones.
-> You will have to find the proper rotor head displacement so they can merge better.
Edit
-> setup the displacement from the rotor block in control panel.
A good example is if someone wants to create a dreadnought like armored turret with three rail-guns, it would be better to use three hinges for elevation, one for each gun (independent from each other, but not necessarily so they have independent elevations, just having the same elevation adds a lot of design versatility) so:
1-Its easier to streamline the design's armor
2-The turret isn't taken out of action with a hit to a single hinge/rotor moving the three weapons.
If anything, a single elevation rotor makes turret builds more janky and fragile (if you want to make something complex and not the very popular ball turret).
