Hi, share more clues about the world :

1 - How old it is?
2 - What is the world used?
3 - What is in that world, Mods in?
Poomplex Apr 28, 2021 @ 7:58pm

Ok, so it is the same when you create a new No Mods wolrd.

Do this :

Try #1 + #2 + #3 in the Forum Workaround(s) thread first :

https://steamcommunity.com/app/244850/discussions/0/2440336020748966737/

+

Create a completely new No Mods world and tell me if it is the same.

Alright tried to do that and still has the same problem, noticed that the problem only occurred after the field engineer update.

Share the log file, a Veteran player may see something wrong in there.

How to share the complete game log on Steam :

The game log can be found here:
C:\Users\{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.log

or simply hit the Windows key + R + type in :
%appdata%\SpaceEngineers

The log file should be from the game session where you've encountered the bug. If you start the game again, the log will be overwritten.
post log file to www.pastebin.com and add the link here.

game log look like this now, with date on :

>> SpaceEngineers_20210418_213907114.log <<

Isnt saving meaning saving to disk? So how would how much memory he has matter, the question is do you have enough space on your disk to save?
Poomplex May 1, 2021 @ 7:53pm

Have you performed validation of game files?

Another thing that I doubt is the problem but may as well ask, does Windows have the privileges to write to the SpaceEngineers save folder?
Dan2D3D  [developer] May 2, 2021 @ 7:02am
In log I see :

only 8gb of free space on the C: Drive while Saves and Blueprints are saved over there.

= I have about 60 Gb of SE Saves + Blueprints in there so I recommend more than 8gb.
-> Also need free space for WIndows internet Temp files + Memory...

______

Crash =

Exception occurred: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Sandbox.Game.World.MySession.<>c__DisplayClass615_1.<GatherVicinityInformation>b__0()

OnSnapshotDone: failed to save the world at System.Environment.GetStackTrace(Exception e, Boolean needFileInfo)

________

To test :

1 - Try by making more available space on your C: Drive

2 - Go create a new No Mods Star System world, load it and try to save.
Poomplex May 3, 2021 @ 11:53am
So I made space, now i have 363GB free still got the error

So even can't save a new created no Mods world after doing all the important for the game to run properly :steamsad:

Try a fresh installation of the game and contact the SE programmers if still can't find a solution.

_____________

Fresh install =

1 - Backup Saves and Blueprints, copy/paste to USB storage key or else.
Saves and Blueprints are here :
Hit the Windows key + R and type in : %appdata%\SpaceEngineers
Go to the SpaceEngineers folder
C: users / your username / appdata / roaming / spaceengineers

2 - Uninstall the game with Steam.
3 - Delete all remaining SE folders/files in the Steam folder.
4 - Delete all remaining SE folders/files in the appdata SE on your C: Drive.
5 - Restart PC.
6 - Install SE.

_______________

+ Create a "Request help" on the Portal or by Email, the SE team may know something I don't.

Report directly to the SE programmers so they can chat with you if they need more info :

Support Portal = https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc
(create "Bug report" or "Request help" or "Feedback"(Petition) on the Portal)

You may use the Support Email to report if you prefer :
Email = support@keenswh.com
