How rare is an ice asteroid?

So I was flying to Europa, as usual, getting a truckload of ice, and then I see this HUGE ice asteroid, so I thought "You know what? I'll save myself some hydrogen and I'll set up a base here!" So I did, I set up a nice little mining outpost and then I think to myself...
How rare are these ice asteroids? Because I've never seen these very much, and I would like to know how rare these things are.
(No, I'm not talking asteroids with ice ON them, I'm talking 100% ice asteroids)

They're not terribly rare. You can see them from a distance as having a slightly blue, shiny tint.

Do you have any specifics? If not, then that's fine, it's just that I don't see these things very much, probably because of RNG...

A camera or a turret can help with looking at space rocks from a long distance. If its not grey then its probably blue/white space ice.

Not all that rare. A camera does help in finding them, but they can be found without a camera too

Prolly 1 to 3 every 100 square km.

I always explore the asteroids at 30Km around Moons (Rich ore spots of the game), also asteroids between the planet and its Moon = I find ice asteroid all the time over there.

No, but they added more options to create asteroids and paste in from the "Spawn Items" menu Shift+F10 in creative mode where we can make it the ore we want.
