SEToolbox not working

I've been working on a massive ship but it's very difficult not only to build it all by hand but to get a good point of view on it either, then I found SEToolbox but upon further research found some very conflicting posts about it. I downloaded the version I found most recommended but as soon as I open it it gives me this:

Space Engineers update detected
The base version of Space Engineers has changed.
SEToolbox needs to update the base files from Space Engineers before starting.
Please press Yes at the UAC prompt to continue

I then hit the OK button and it brings up this:

Update error
An error occuring whilst attempting to updating the base files.
You may attempt to run SEToolbox but you risk corrupting any space engineers world when you save.
It is recommended you close the application now, then download and install the latest version of SEToolbox as soon as possible.
If with to continue and attempt to run SEToolbox as it is, Then press Yes to continue

at this point I press YES and it brings up this:

Space Engineers Toolbox '1.197.180.7' Error
An error has been detected in the application that caused has caused the application to shut down:
Could not load file assembly
'SpaceEngineers.ObjectBuilders, Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral, PublickKeyToken=null' or one of its dependancies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Apologies for any incovenience

my problem is that when I download the latest file it can't ever find the Space Engineers Application.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, SEToolbox is now maintained by a new member, dowload the SEToolbox.zip from here :

SEToolbox is a World editor so I strongly recommend to open a copy of your save, never open the original save with SEToolbox in case you make a mistake.

-> Better avoid to mess up the original save so always open a copy =

I will specify with more details :

1 - Uninstall SEToolbox.

2 - Restart PC.

3 - Dowload the new SEToolbox.

4 - Extract it in a new created folder on your desktop.

5 - Double click the exe in that folder to open SEToolbox.

Thanks for responding so quickly, I followed the instructions above to the letter but it keeps coming up with the same error is it possible that there is something I need to be doing differently since Space Engineers is on Steam or Should I be getting a different download than the latest listed?

The last SEToolbox vesion 01.197.180.1 works fine on my side, so I don't know why it's not working for you = ??

I play the current game version all on default = OK

maybe because its on the C: Drive? It is currently on D: drive Does that make a difference?

World saves goes on the C: Drive even if we install the game on the D: Drive for example, so better unzip in a new create folder on the C: Drive, well that is how I use SEToolbox and it works.

Ok will do. by the way, I was looking back at the link you provided and there are three downloads listed should I be getting all three of those or just the SEToolbox.zip file?

No, I just downloaded the SEToolbox Zip only, so the first one only.

Hmm, tried that but still doesn't seem to work. m running windows 10 is it possible my computer is somehow blocking it, a firewall or something?

I use Win10 Pro updated from WIn7 Pro, no anti-virus (Windows protection on default) and all good on my side.

Do you use a anti-virus. like AVAST?
If yes = You may have to add to exception list.

Oh! I see a WIndows warning but I click the "Install anyway" button and SEToolbox ask for a update, that I do and it opens the Editor ready for my to click the "open folder" button to load a save.

You said to select the SEToolbox.exe but on my end, but that's just a config file, so I have been hitting the application file instead am I missing something by doing that?

I don't select exe, I double click it to open SEToolbox to use it.
