You can shut off the opposite tank (turn off the o2 tank for example) and double the rate of production. Or if you already have a stockpile in your base, set your ships tank to stockpile and the bases one to normal and it will pull the gas from the base.

-> The Hydrogen/Oxygen will refill faster the more O2/H2 Generators you will add.

Also, like frag2k4 said, power is not affected by Sorter, we just need connectors or rotor head locked to recharge batteries.

I just create separate conveyor lines, one espacially made to empty the connected ship and one for the Hydorgen.

How to empty a ship in seconds - Example :
>> Transfer all to a Station Container <<
1 - Sorter placed on the container port I want your "Stuff" to go in.
2 - Add the "Stuff" in sorter "Whitelist" with "Drain ALL" ON.
= That will empty your connected ship in a few seconds :
