How remote control work?
I wanted to try putting together a cart that would drive back and forth through GPS points.

I installed the remote control unit, introduced the actions that will be performed when the point is reached.

I started remote control, but this block just starts skipping points without even reaching them, how does it work?

Mostly through experimentation. Possible set more waypoints to navigate around where the cart is getting stuck/confused.

Unfortunately, the situation is different. The cart just stands and every second switches to the next point. Although the points are marked approximately every 20 meters.

If the cart is just a platform or transportation you might want 2 control blocks, unless you want the cart to just automatically go back and forth on its own. I might be overcomplicating this as I don't have much experience in using Remote Controls, but here's what I'd try:

- Set up 2 remote control blocks, each facing the opposite direction between the waypoints. Rather than turning the cart just goes back and forth, if it's only purpose is for travel that is.
- Have a button on the cart that makes a timer block switch the Remote Control blocks on/off, with only 1 being on at a time. Have that timer block then send a signal to a second timer block that's telling both Remote Controls to head to their designated waypoint.

This way, all you have to do is press a button and the cart will go back and forth on a fairly straight line depending on how unsteady the terrain is. As a bonus to help keep the cart charged, if not powering it via solar panels, you could try the below addition.

- Have a connector set up on both ends of the cart with a sensor to "detect station" that extends to just beyond both connectors, telling them to "lock", which will only have an effect on whichever connector is within locking range.
- As part of the timers above you could add the connectors to turn on/off in the same way the remote controls are alternating to prevent accidentally "relocking".

My goal is to get the cart to go from point A to point C, making an intermediate stop at point B. Something like a short subway line. I tried different options, but so far I have only achieved that now the remote control simply ignores everything and runs into a dead end. =)

I don't really like setting timers for travel to a stop, since a train may have different reasons for a stop on the way and then it will simply go astray.

Can the structures be connected or are they connected? Is a tram system using pistons as a rail not an option? Have any pictures of the setup so we can get a general idea of what you're trying to do?

I thought the remote block didn't work on wheeled vehicles, or at least that it has never worked well with them.

i have best results .. having the Camera right on that side of the remote control block facing forward .. IF Camera is apart from remote control block and get stuck or confused if they dont hit the WP at the same time .. hope this helps a bit ... camera hits the WP first then right after the remote control block activates and moves to other WP Rinse and repeat

Yup i tried too .. seems Remote Control Block is broken .. all Auto Pilot does on my screen is change the ride height ..AUTO PILOT needs to be ON then you see Precision mode do the same thing .. and avoidance does some suspension thing too ... do you notice this too ?

Remote control block autopilot DOES NOT SUPPORT wheels.
You will not get results with it.
