Built an incredible industrial mining ship
Screenshots posted below on a reply

No toilets, no lockers or any cosmetic - just function. Hell, I even sit in a control seat out in the open. This ship is call the "pyramid", because the 37 x 37 (1,369 drills) is shaped like one. This leaves a very large open space inside for a large reactor, 68 batteries, 150+ gyros, 30 refineries with full yield, 2 large cargo for ingots and 38 large ion thrusters. The back area provides several decks where ships can land and carry away full loads of ingots. Due to this design, it can be upgraded with more drills which would also create more interior space without building any sort of structure behind the drills.

The current ship's empty mass is 16.3 million kg. In less than 20 minutes of mining I had over 100 million kg's of ingots and iron/stone waiting to be processed. They couldn't get into the refineries because the two large cargo were full of ingots and the refineries were full of unprocessed ore and stone (it backed up into the drills).

The amazing thing is this craft is now about 200 meters into an asteroid, but its not just a little tunnel. It left a huge open space and all you can see is a base buried in the rock. Because there is no structure behind the drills, I can just about turn around a dime. But for the moment it will take hours to haul away 20 minutes worth of mining. I need to build a larger hauler - lol.

Note: This is a private game with several friends. The inventory is set to maximum to equal real life mining. So a large cargo container is 4.2 million L. That's a little less than 15 million kg of ingots x 2. It only took 20 minutes of running the drills to get all this, but if I was playing a default game, they would have filled up in 2 minutes and that wouldn't be much fun (I wish they were much larger).

Max inventory is not without its challenge. You are hauling ten times more weight. So your ship has to have the thrust capacity to handle that much.

Long post to ask how to take a screen shot. LOL

For Steam Screenshot default is F12 key

And your Screens taken with F4 can be found in:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Screenshots

How do you post the ones taken with F4
Mojo Aug 20, 2021 @ 3:28pm
Move them from where I linked the F4 folder to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YourSteamIDNumber\760\remote\244850\screenshots

Otherwise if that doesn't work, you may upload them under "artwork" instead of the screenshots.

I just wish Steam screenshots would work again. It was so simple to use.

For this screenshot thing....

F4 is a game screenshot
F12 is a steam screenshot

Game ones go to game folders and steam dosent know they exist, thats why you have to move them. Steam ones go directly to stem folders and can be shared from your profile.

So its...

F12 to take shot (if dosent work check keybind in steam settings)
Open steam overlay in game
Click screenshots
Select the ones you want and upload.

The only thing you were doing wrong was F4 instead of F12

One bit of correction about the inventory multiplier: While the readout shows the full mass of the grid, including cargo, there's a bit of tinkering with cargo mass. Basically, a 10x inventory will have a 1/10 normal mass. This is done to prevent inventory modifiers from breaking builds.
A cargo container full of stone will handle the same at 1x, 3x, 5x, 10x, and require the same amount of thrust to be moved. This also means that if you had an overloaded craft on 1x, you could reload the save as 10x inventory, and suddenly have a LOT of extra thrust to play with.

Really like to mine, but tired of waiting on the 30 refiners to process what I collected in only a few meters. So I spent all this morning changing out the 120 modules from yield to speed. Should be equal to having 150 refiners

That thing was tiny :P My buddy made one that was so big it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over all other players trying to get close, it lagged the server -so- badly, we had to frigging ban it :P
